Mr. Wilcox has twenty nine years of diversified law practice experience, focused in intellectual property, licensing, general business, corporate, transactional and commercial law. He has served as general counsel/chief legal officer for several public and private companies, as a chief intellectual property counsel, has held senior executive positions and has been counsel to executive management and corporate boards of directors. His extensive experience includes the fields of U.S. and international intellectual property, general corporate and commercial transactions and commercial law, licensing transactions, technology collaborations and partnering, business venturing, pharmaceutical and regulatory law, corporate governance and compliance (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley Act), employment law, and management of litigation and legal staffs. Mr Wilcox is a registered patent attorney, with a technical education in chemistry and physics and industry experience in several scientific laboratories.

-- Negotiated and drafted many significant U.S. and foreign commercial agreements, including patent licenses, business acquisition and divestiture agreements, litigation settlement agreements, joint venture agreements, research and technology transfer agreements, distribution agreements, supply agreements and many other transactional documents
-- Extensive experience in intellectual property portfolio management, business entity structuring, collaborations, joint venturing and other partnering relationships
-- Patent preparation and prosecution expertise, particularly in chemistry, physics, materials science, biotechnology, life sciences, pharmaceutical, drug delivery, medical diagnostics, medical devices and instrumentation, and related fields
-- Broad legal management experience; over 20 years supervising and mentoring other attorneys on in-house legal staffs, for Fortune 100, mid-size public and small public and private companies
-- Served as lead counsel on teams responsible for corporate acquisitions, mergers, IPOs, stock and debt offerings, and for successful in- and out-licensing programs
-- Represented clients as co-counsel and managed litigation matters, and proceeding before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Board of Appeals
